Distribution Equipment

The main switchgear or distribution equipment in a building is the main infrastructure of the electrical wiring proving protection for all the circuits to the lights, sockets, machinery etc.

The distribution equipment is installed to the current British Standards / Regulations. Over time however the regulations change and eventually the distribution equipment no longer provides adequate protection to the electrical installation within the building. When this happens the distribution equipment will need to be upgraded/replaced.
